A Budget Trip to Goa

Is a Goa trip plan still existing in your multiple social media groups with friends? Are you the one who is always canceling the plan or the one who always brings up the idea of this plan? C’mon, don’t hesitate to agree that you have been confining yourself for years to the same ritual of canceling your Goa plan. Trust me! There’s no need to wait until your payday for a trip that’s been on your mind forever.

Goa is a place that lies in the heart of every Indian. From late-night parties to dreamy sunset views, from bike rides to walks on the beach, from street food to exotic cuisines, there’s a lot more which will not let you contain your excitement about this place. Like you.. even I also had to plan for my Goa trip several times till the time it finally got executed.

So, now I’ll take you through my experience of the Goa trip and how I saved a lot during my trip by just following some simple tips and tricks.

1) Let’s begin with traveling!

First of all, what comes to our mind is how are we going to reach Goa? If you are traveling with your friends then prefer going by train as it will not only save your money but also make you enjoy even more.

From Mumbai: Take Jan Shatabdi Express (INR 270) or LTT Karmali Special (INR 230)

After reaching Goa, hire a bike or scooter which will cost you around INR 2000 for 5 days. I and my friends used to roam around the city for hours.

2) Accommodation

So where are going to stay when we are on such a low budget? No worries! Staying in Goa doesn’t mean that you must have those lavish views and casinos in your hotel. You can even have a great time at an OYO room which will cost you much lower than a hotel. We all have been hyped for the nightlife of goa, so how can we just stay indoors. Get a place for sound sleep and that’s it! You are good to go for exploring other places. There are many budget-friendly hostels like Prison Hostel, Roadhouse, Red Door, Wonderland, and many more. I have tried hostels and some of them are very good.

3) Devour and Quench

Who all are with me when I say “Food is Life!” Me being a Punjabi guy, my love for food is forever. Whenever there’s a trip planning going on, my first question would be what about the different food options that particular place is going to offer me. Go for thalis if you wanna save some bucks, on some days you can even try the amazing French cuisine at La Plage in Morjim (INR 1000 for two with alcohol). If you are looking for some drinks, then goa is a place where you will find beer cheaper than water. You can definitely quench your thirst here. You will get a king’s beer at just INR 35-40. Sounds unbelievable? Then go and try!

4) Party Not Partially

Who can miss out on parties when you are there in the party capital of the country? You can head to some famous clubs like cabana and LPK for your rocking party. It will cost you around INR 1500 for a couple and guess what? Drinks are included in this!

5) Budget-friendly shacks

Lucky Star Beach Shack (INR 650) and bubble beach shack (INR 800) are one of the most sophisticated shacks in goa. They will give you an amazing experience as they will also arrange fun-filled activities for you like dolphin trips, deep-sea fishing, boat trips, and much more. They are isolated in a tranquil environment without any loud music.

6) Souvenirs Shopping

You will find a huge market close to Candolim beach where you can find some amazing souvenirs for your loved ones and that too at such affordable prices. I bought my all-time favorite Postcards and refrigerator magnets for my friends and family.

7) Be spiritual by exploring beautiful Churches

North Goa has some of the most beautiful churches in store for us. One of them is the Immaculate Conception Church which you must have seen in many Bollywood movies shot in goa. In reality, it’s even more beautiful.

8) Water Sports

If you are someone who loves water sports, then you must go on for this. There are various packages for this. You can definitely include this in your budget as I did it too.

So, haven’t you made your “trip to Goa” WhatsApp group again? Oh, c’mon don’t be afraid of canceling your trip again. It won’t be happening this time! Share these amazing tips with your friends and start planning!
