Budget Trip to Prague

As we all know that Prague is like a hidden gem in the world. The city remains untouched with many comprehensions although the place has much more to serve as the best tourist destination. People often anticip[ate the budget of this trip to be skyrocketing, but it is not so if you are wise enough. What I believe is that the most breathtaking views are usually inexpensive.

Believe me, an ideal budget for a Prague trip from India for 4-5 days will cost you around 50,000- 60,000 INR. You will find marvel of Architecture culture. It is called the City of a Hundred Spires” and “Mother of All Cities”, so it has a lot to offer to its visitors. There is no lack of beauty In a city where old Bohemia meets the modern world.

So, join me on a short budget tour of Prague, I’ll take you through my experience and how I managed to cover the trip under a budget.

Ideal Time to Visit
I visited during the beautiful spring season from March-May. During this time it is easy to get everything under the budget so I prefer this time but the visit is enjoyable all year round so you can plan accordingly.
Climate: 20 degrees Celsius during summers and as low as -2 degrees Celsius during winters.

How to Travel Around?
The cost of my airfare from India (New Delhi) was around 40,000 INR. For a Schengen visa, you can apply through VFS Global and receive your visa to the Czech Republic in approximately 15 days.
You can travel around the city by rail, as Prague is well connected to major European cities via the Eurail network. The city also has popular bus agencies like the Flix bus and Regio Jet. These are some of the cheapest travel alternatives to reach Prague from any European city.

Things to do in Prague on Budget

Walk across Charles bridge
This bridge is one of the oldest, it basically connects the 2 sides of Prague which is separated by the Vltava river. As vehicles are not allowed on this bridge, I really enjoyed going on a walk over this bridge.

Window shopping at Wenceslas Square
I bet you that this the most vibrant place I have ever been to, it is just a 5-minute walk from the old town square. You will find all major international brands over here. Trust me! Your couple of hours at this place, wouldn’t hurt your budget for the trip.

Take a stroll in Letna Park
What’s better than spending an evening in a park by the river and that too with a beautiful view of the Prague skyline. You will find this place at the foot of Prague Castle and you will find many cyclists over here.

Adore the amazing design of Dancing House
It is one of the most modern and significant buildings in Prague. This place was inspired by Fred and Ginger, the famous duo dancers. The panoramic view of Prague via the Glass Baron the observation desk from 10 a.m. to midnight was a cherry on the top for me.

Wander in the Neighbourhood of Mala Strana
This is by far the best place to be in when you want to travel on a budget, you can visit amazing boutique shops, head on to the Wallenstein gardens, sit in exotic cafes, and whatnot.

So, this was all about my trip to Prague. Don’t procrastinate, just start planning for your trip to Prague on a budget.
