Food to eat in Spain


Just like Picasso is to art, food is as to Spain. There no question about this that Spanish foods is unique, hearty, and wonderfully satisfying. I’m sure about this that it’s nearly impossible to emulate the gastronomical variety of Spain. From tasty tapas to superb seafood and traditional roasts, food in Spain is all about melting a pot of flavors in a singular dish.
My one simple piece of advice for a Spain trip will be that try visiting different regions of Spain as this will let you experience all the amazing food options available in Spain. There are numerous flavors, shapes, styles, and sizes in all the Spanish dishes. You’ll never find two dishes that taste similar.
As per my experience, I found that Spanish food isn’t so spicy, but it’s always bursting with unique flavors and sizzling seasonings. Generally, Spanish cooking uses loads of garlic, paprika, and rarities like saffron and squid ink, which make the flavors of the dish pop even more and I’m sure you’ll love all this when you’ll get to experience this
So, here I’ll be sharing some of my favorite food options to try in Spain.
Tortilla Espanola
If you are in Spain then you must try this! This is a Spanish-style omlet and is often included on the tapas menus. You’ll find some potatoes, onion, and a generous helping of salt and pepper in this unbeatable snack.
Patatas Bravas
This is surely delicious of all and you’ll find your mouth watering for more always. These crispy little potatoes are smothered in different exotic flavored sauces and are often eaten with a toothpick.
Pimientos de Padron
If you are looking for a spicy treat then you must try this. Served as tapas, these green peppers from Galicia are generally fried with olive oil and covered with sea salt for some exotic flavor.
Croquetas
I can bet you on this that there’s nothing quite like a Spanish croqueta, and biting into one is like a little taste of deep-fried heaven. They are generally filled with bechamel sauce and some other ingredients like Jamon, ground meat, fish, seafood, and vegetables.
Gazpacho
You’ll find this dish in tons of different styles and flavors. It can be served warm, as a salad or stew, with ham, croutons, or extra veggies.
Pisto
This hearty dish is jam-packed with all the exotic veggies you could imagine like eggplant, tomato, onion, bell peppers, and olive oil.
Bocadillos
This is the best quick meal in Spain. You can have this grab-and-go sandwich anywhere in Spain. You’ll find ham & cheese, potatoes, pork loin, and a Madrid specialty: fried calamari as the fillings.
Chorizo
It is one of the most delicious Spanish pork products. This pork sausage has been cured and seasoned with some of the great Spanish spices to give it a little kick while retaining some sweetness from the meat.
