Italy

What do you think of when you think about Italy? If I say Italy, do you picture: food, art, history, sports cars or maybe soccer? Italian food is considered among the best in the world. Italy is famous for the Renaissance and the incredible artists it produced. Italy is also famous for its tourism, its art cities and unique scenery. Italy is also known for its language, its opera, its fashion and its luxury brands. It is also known for its football team. This country has so many interesting and mind blowing things to do that one could never get bored of the beauty and adventures of Italy.
Cuisines
What’s your favourite dish when it comes to starters? Mine is surely pizza. Pizza, which is famous all over the world and which has the most fan following all over the world, is a dish which originated from Italy. Other famously known italian food includes italian wines, risotto, italian gelato, cheese and italian truffles. I love almost each and every Italian cuisine.
Fashion in italy
Italy is known for fashion houses and designer brands. Some of the most famous are Valentino, Gucci, Prada, Armani, Versace, Dolce e Gabbana but the list goes on. You can admire the creations of Italian fashion designers in the many designer shopping streets in Italy and at fashion events such as Milan Fashion Week, one of the most important fashion events.
Major attractions in italy
Rome heads the list of places to visit. Relics of its ancient glories—the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon, the Appian Way, and the Palatine Hill—vie with the vast riches of the Vatican as the top attractions. Florence is another famous place to visit in Italy as it can at times seem like one giant art museum. The Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, is a landmark of world architecture, topped by its gravity-defying massive dome. Venice is another must visit place in italy. Who could fail to love a city whose streets are made of water, whose buses are boats, and where the songs of gondoliers linger in the air? It is a magic city, and its major attraction to tourists is the city itself. The hub of the city is the broad Piazza San Marco, St. Mark’s Square, surrounded by several of its top tourist attractions. The great Basilica of St. Mark stands beside the Doge’s Palace, and overlooking both is the tall Campanile. Although Milan also is a major entry point for tourists because of its airport, it’s often overlooked as a destination of its own. That’s a shame, because Milan has one of the highest concentrations of artistic and architectural attractions in all Italy, and for those interested in design and fashion (not to mention shopping), it’s a must. Milan has been the home and work place for luminaries in all these fields: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Verdi, Enrico Caruso, Toscanini, and designer Giorgio Armani. One of the most amazing destination in italy is como lake. Como has been the favourite summer retreat of the rich and famous since ancient Romans fled Milan’s summer heat to cool off in villas along its steep shores. Later villas decorate its tightly clustered towns, especially pretty Bellagio, artfully set on a point where the three narrow arms of the lake meet.
