Things to do in Nepal

For all those who don’t know much about Nepal, you must read further and know about this fun-filled destination that is known for its mesmerizing scenic backdrops, heritage buildings, temples, monuments, and monasteries. From rafting to trekking, from sightseeing to shopping there’s a lot of things which can be enjoyed in this beautiful country.

Nepal is home to seven of the world’s 10 tallest mountains, the birthplace of Buddha, ancient royal cities, and much more. Trust me! This country needs to be explored. Ever since the country opened its borders to foreigners, it surely emerged as an enchanting destination for all the hikers and trekkers out there, some of them venturing to the famous Everest Base Camp.

So, here I will take through my experiences which I gained by visiting this beautiful country. I’m sure that you’ll love them all!

Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Who doesn’t love doing sightseeing? Roaming around the capital city of Kathmandu is one of the most interesting things to do in Nepal, I found medieval temples, monuments, public squares, and monasteries here. I also shop for some souvenirs from here.

Adventure activities in Pokhara
I always look for some adventures in a new place. Pokhara is a heaven for nature enthusiasts and adventure freaks have the calling for me. I tried paragliding and camping here.

Mountain Biking in Kathmandu Valley
I heard that Kathmandu is also famous for biking trails and routes. So, I took a bike in rent for exploring the enchanting landscapes of this beautiful place. You just can’t miss out on this! The cost for the same is around INR 600-2500 per day and this will vary according to the bike you have taken.

Wildlife safari in Chitwan National Park
The densely marshy terrain of Chitwan is home to a large variety of reptiles, mammals, & birds. A wildlife safari across this area was the favourite part of my trip. So, I would highly recommend you going for the same.

Trekking in Annapurna Circuit
Nepal is known for its astounding trekking routes as it is a trekker’s paradise. The breathtaking views during the trek can are explained in words. You have seen it through your eyes and feel the tranquility of this place.

Enjoy views of Mt. Everest in Gokyo Lake
One of the most exciting things to do in Nepal is to view Mount Everest from Gokyo Lake. The picturesque & serene lake in the Dudh Koshi Valley overlooks the lofty Everest and it just made my jaw drop.

Rafting & Kayaking in Bhote Koshi & Seti River
Nepal offers an adventurous experience of electrifying rafting expedition with the amazing hills in the backdrop and terraced paddy farms & charming villages all around. You must try these adventurous activities to have some more fun.

Fly in a Helicopter over hills
If you are visiting Nepal for the first time then a helicopter ride over Mount Everest and flights over Himalayan peaks and ranges must be on the bucket list. The view from the top will be the best view you have ever imagined.
